Sweet Treats from The Whimsical Kitchen

One of my favourite sweet treats are marshmallows, so I recently treated myself to some goodies from The Whimsical Kitchen. I’ve followed her for a while now over on Instagram and everything she posts there always looks so nice. At this time of year, something sweet to eat of an evening is ideal!

The first thing I picked up was some fudge – I bloody love fudge and this sounded amazing: Salted Caramel Fudge!

It tastes beautiful. Sometimes fudge can be really sweet and as a savoury lover, I can often find super sweet things very sickly. This fudge however, is perfect. It has the right amount of sweetness and is smooth and creamy. It is actually to die for. I reluctantly shared a piece with my husband to try. Neil isn’t really a fan of fudge but he also thought it was really nice too. I’d love to try some of the other flavours – especially the angel delight and flying saucer ones!

Next up is the reason I had to place an order in the first place: Nutella marshmallow!

I’ve been known to eat Nutella straight out of the jar, so I had to have some.

The marshmallow itself tastes wonderful – again it’s not too sickly sweet and it has a really good texture. I’ve never tasted marshmallow quite like it. I will definitely be getting more.

The last treat I picked up was a Christmas treat. I was fascinated  by the pictures of it so I kind of picked it up for curiosity more than anything: Mallow Snowball.

Firstly, it is freaking huge. It’s like the same size as the big bath bombs you get at Lush. In fact, Neil thought it was a bath bomb until I gave it to him to hold. It is so squishy. The smell is awesome too. I’ve not tried this one yet, partly because I’m not sure how to eat it. Although I am tempted to find a really big mug and dump it into a hot chocolate!

The whole package smelled beautiful. It was well packed and actually arrived really quickly.

She has a really bright and colourful website which is really easy to navigate and includes and FAQ where you can find information on storage, how long it will stay fresh, vegan options etc.

Each treat shows an ingredients list online, so it’s easy to work out what is in everything – perfect for me when I can’t eat gluten.

Everything is hand made and cooked fresh and if you are trying to support small business (which you totally should) this is an incredible place to start!

I will definitely be placing another order in the new year!

Check The Whimsical Kitchen out over in Instagram , full disclosure though, it will make you feel hungry!
