Night Out with the Girls – OOTD

Friday night saw me out for dinner with the two lovely ladies I used to work with (we worked out it’s been almost 12 months since my job was put at risk!). It was fabulous to catch up with those two beauties and we had a lovely meal at Rockfish.

Read on to find out all about my slightly rock chick look! (I don’t know why I’ve used the word chick. It doesn’t suit me at all.)

I was pretty excited about debuting one of my awesome LYDC London mini clutch bags with my outfit and I picked out the bag first and then matched my outfit around it.

LYDC were kind enough to send me three super cute clutch bags, look out for more posts showing off the others coming soon.

So first up, the bag is adorable. It is the ideal size for a cheeky night out or dinner. It easily carried my phone, lipstick and cash with room to spare. It’s a lovely shiny, patent black colour with a stand out gold zip and chain. I really like the chain, it would be ideal for slipping inside a larger bag to hold your cash in and you could use the clip to clip it inside your bag so you aren’t scrabbling around for it (my bag is huge, I am always scrabbling around for something – it’s like the Mary Poppins carpet bag).

Being black it was easy to match to an outfit/shoes etc. because black goes with everything. Huge thanks to LYDC for sending this to me because I can see myself using it a lot.

I wanted to keep my outfit relatively casual for a Friday night dinner with the girls, so I picked out my favourite jeans from Gap. I got them from a Gap Outlet store in Swindon, they were an absolute steal (less than a tenner!) they fit really well, they don’t stretch out and they wash really well. My vest top was from H & M  from the Basics range. When I put it on, I noticed it was pretty see through and you could see my nellies through the top, so I popped on a little strappy vest – also from H & M.

I picked out a pair of black, chunky biker boots. They are the same as the ones featured in my Pinafore & Pugs OOTD just in black.

I was pretty pleased with my outfit, dark colours make me appear much slimmer than I actually am. Which I love, obviously.

I kept my makeup pretty simple. I am RUBBISH at makeup, so I never tend to wear much. I did brave a bit of red lippy for the first time ever, which I kind of liked. I also rocked some wicked cool accessories – a Lego crocodile necklace that we got at Brick 2015 in Birmingham and some cute kitty rings that I got in Monsoon and my current favourite ring – I picked it up in Marlborough about a year ago. It is full of tiny green beads that swish around inside!

I also painted my nails for the evening. I matched them to my LYDC bag with a bit of added sparkle, using Ciate nail polish and glitter. 4 days later and still chip free so I’m pretty pleased with it.

The rings are cute aren’t they?! They came from a Monsoon outlet last year in October. I usually choose my accessories first – I’m far more decisive about them! X

Thank you! That’s what I like about it – it’s simplicity makes it so easy to match it to outfits! Xx
