I’m finally getting around to sharing this video I finished over a week ago, I’m talking more about the weeks after my surgery and how my recovery is going.
Catch up with Part One if you haven’t already.
I’ve been a bit busier this last week. I’ve watched alot of Disney movies and finally managed to catch Moana which I enjoyed. I’ve also watched Riverdale and re-watched Stranger Things this week as well as catching up some blog posts. I’ve also done some knitting, when I say knitting what I mean is, I have started knitting a scarf 3 times now before getting about 40 rows in, deciding it sucks, unpicking it all and starting again!
I’ve also got back into the swing of reading again and have finished a book – Guards Guards by Terry Pratchett and started another Terry Pratchett book. I’ve also been brave and let Neil help me downstairs to eat dinner downstairs twice this week. He’s trying to persuade me to venture outside for breakfast next week – we’ll see, I’m currently a bit wary of stepping outside the protective bubble of my bed, let alone actually going outside.
My post operative pain seems to be easing a little now. It still hurts as much, but doesn’t seem to hurt as much of the time as it did this time last week. Unfortunately though I have had a few bad headaches and some hip pain from lying awkwardly. I’m trying to take less of my Oramorph as I’m not a fan of the side effects. Instead relying on Naproxen and paracetamol and only taking the Oramorph if it gets really bad. So I’d say that is some progress at least!
