A few months ago, I was searching for some cute stationery and accessories to make my return to work a bit more bearable (want some tips to get back to work? Check out my vlog). I discovered Notebook Therapy on Instagram where they have a beautiful feed filled with journalling inspiration so I checked out their store and treated myself to a few bits.

I fell in love with this cute cat thermos flask. It’s the perfect size for a cup of tea for me to take to work, it matches my backpack too! It holds around a regular cup of tea and keeps the tea cold for hours, I usually make it at about 0800 and drink it at my lunch break – 1330, where I have to leave the lid off for a while to let it cool down! It doesn’t seem to leak and I’ve had lots of compliments on how cute it is!

I also picked up some highlighters and a fountain pen set for work.

The highlighters are dual ended and are a perfect size to pop in my pencil case. They aren’t chunky so there is plenty of space left for everything else. With 10 different colours to choose from in this 5 pen set you can highlight things for days! They are vibrant and glide across the paper smoothly. I use these nearly every day.

The fountain pen set consisted of 4 different fountain pens with varying size nibs and a selection of different coloured inks. They write really nicely and are a good size to fit into your hand comfortably when using them.

I was really pleased with my purchases and resolved to order some more things soon.

Last week, Notebook Therapy got in touch with me and offered me a pen set in exchange for a review! I was really pleased as it gave me the opportunity to try something I wouldn’t usually. I went for a watercolour brush pen set.

There are 20 beautiful colours in the set and includes an empty watercolour brush. The pens are refillable and for a real watercolour effect you can dip the brush end in water to create different depths of colour. The different colours you can create are endless.

The pens are lightweight, comfortable to hold and once you get used to the flow, they are really easy and fun to use. I had a play and practice with them to create a cacti and succulent sketch in my art journal.

I used them more like felt tips to create this. If you are more talented than me (which isn’t hard) you could use them to create some gorgeous hand lettering as well. They run over the paper really nicely.

The nibs are a nice shape and are really good for creating smooth, flowing lines and strokes.

I’ve started to plan and draw out a new spread in my bullet journal which I will use to capture my social media statistics – I’m going with a floral frame to portray how my stats will hopefully bloom and grow (well, fingers crossed right?!).

I can’t wait to really play more with these pens, using them with water to really create something pretty. My first impressions of the pens are really good. I love using them and they are really easy to use. You can blend the colours together and make the shades lighter and darker by changing the pressure you use. If you are looking for pens to help you create beautiful spreads then these are definitely for you.

Notebook Therapy have a huge range of Japanese and Korean stationery. They sell notebooks and all the supplies you could possibly think of to create your perfect bullet journal. They also sell phone cases, plush toys, stickers and all sorts of stationery.

Everything is really well priced and includes worldwide shipping. Everything arrived pretty quickly as well. The shop is well laid out and easy to navigate as well. I was really pleased with the service and will definitely be placing another order.

Don’t forget to head to check them out on Facebook,ย Twitterย and Instagramย for more information and daily inspiration for your journalling needs!
