Today I am talking about how I maintain my healthy glow (by which I mean, my pasty ghost face). I try to do a full skin care routine once a week and I try to use a cleanser or clearing mask once a day. I do get spots on my face, some caused by high anxiety levels, some caused by one of the various vitamin deficiencies I have. I’m totally selling myself aren’t I?
I am pretty lazy, so I like a nice and uncomplicated skin care routine. I’ve tried multiple products over the years and I always look out for something new that might make my life easier and my skin prettier.
I usually start my full routine with a Body Shop Aloe Calming Foaming Wash. This always tends to be one of my daily use products as well. It is easy to use and comes out in a big foam, so it spreads around your face nicely. Also, if you have been crying and your face is red and puffy, it really calms it down.
Next I use the Glamglow Super Cleanse Cream to Foam Cleanser. It’s kind of cool, it starts off like a cream and then it foams up. It feels like it’s really cleaning your pores out when you use it. It also smells like Blackjacks!
After this, I usually do a Face mask of some kind. I have a bunch of different ones, that all claim to do different things. This time I used the Glamglow My Little Pony Gravity Mud Glitter Mask – which is a firming treatment. You spread a thin layer on your face wait around 20 minutes and then peel it off. This mask is a lot of fun, it is bright pink and FULL of glitter. My skin always feels a little tighter after I have used it.
After the Glamglow mask is all peeled off and I’ve picked any bits off that got stuck to that cat, I use The Body Shop Drops of Youth facial oil. I pop a drop on my forehead, chin and each cheek. I then use a Jade Roller to distribute around my face. The jade roller is super soothing. It also comes in really handy to ease a migraine a little as well. Once I have used the roller on my face and I feel super zen, I wait a couple of minutes before the last step.
The last step to my ever lasting beauty is another Body Shop product – the Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask. It is actually bouncy, I enjoy poking my finger in it. I don’t use a huge amount, a little goes a long way. It smells really nice and makes my face feel lovely.
BOOM. That’s it. I’m done and ready to put my pyjamas on.

My routine is always a cleanser (of some description, currently a miscellar water cleanser), a toner and a moisturiser. In said order.
Then ideally, I would use a moisturising face mask once a week to nourish my skin. I swear by the garnier tissue masks, although because I’m a bit strapped for cash at the mo they’re more of a very occasional treat!
Oh I forgot to say I try to do cleanse, tone, moisturise when I get up and before I go to bed!
